Family Reunion 2011

This past weekend was a long weekend spent with family and LOTS of them! Two years ago, the Mardis Clan got together at the same house in Destin, Florida to celebrate mine and Daniel's graduations and it was such a big hit, we decided to make it a tradition! So here we were again, all 20+ of us, two years later in the same house. It was so so fun to be with family and even better that we were a beautiful beach!

Wednesday night church was cancelled because of the tornadoes and crazy storms, but it worked out well because I got to head down to Marietta a little bit earlier than I had planned. Thursday was an early morning of loading up the cars, dropping off Mitzi at the vet, and lots and lots of riding in the car. But it was worth it when we rode up to this: The weekend was spent playing golf with my dad, Daniel, and Lee, reading on the beach, playing in the pool with Charlotte, taking pictures of my precious nieces, big family dinners with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and their spouses and kids, and of course the big old family photo shoot.




It was so fun to get to see my 89 year old Mimi--Mimi and Mimi Jr. reunited :)
